What is MahaDBT Scholarship?
The MahaDBT Scholarship Portal is a dedicated section on MahaDBT Portal, launched by the Government of Maharashtra to provide a centralized and transparent system for students to apply for various central and state-sponsored scholarships. This portal brings together multiple scholarship schemes from different government departments, making it easier for students to access financial aid based on their eligibility.

How to Register on MahaDBT Student Portal?
To avail scholarships, students need to register on the MahaDBT portal. Follow these steps to complete the registration process:
Step 1: Visit the MahaDBT Portal
- Open the MahaDBT Portal and click on “New Applicant Registration.”
Step 2: Choose Aadhaar or Non-Aadhaar Registration
- If you have an Aadhaar card, select “Yes” and proceed with Aadhaar-based registration.
- If you do not have an Aadhaar card, select “No” and proceed with Non-Aadhaar-based registration.
Aadhaar-Based Registration Process
Step 3: Aadhaar Authentication
- Choose the authentication method:
- OTP Authentication: If your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, select this option.
- Biometric Authentication: If your mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, visit a nearby service center for biometric verification.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and click on “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and click on “Verify OTP” to authenticate your Aadhaar details.
Step 4: Auto-Fetch Personal Details
- After successful Aadhaar authentication, personal details such as name, date of birth, and address will be auto-filled.
- Verify the details and make corrections if necessary.
- Click “Continue” to proceed.
Step 5: Enter Additional Details
- Fill in your contact details, educational details, and bank account details (for scholarship disbursement).
- Upload the required documents, such as:
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Income certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Previous academic mark sheets
- Click on “Submit” to complete the registration process.
Non-Aadhaar-Based Registration Process
Step 3: Enter Personal Information
- Manually enter your full name, date of birth, gender, and address.
- Provide your mobile number and email ID for verification.
- Create a username and password for future login.
Step 4: Upload Identity Proof
- If you do not have Aadhaar, upload another government-approved identity document such as:
- PAN Card
- Voter ID
- School/College ID Card
- Ration Card
Step 5: Enter Academic and Bank Details
- Provide your educational details (previous school/college information, marks obtained, etc.).
- Enter bank account details for direct fund transfer (Bank name, IFSC code, account number).
Step 6: Upload Required Documents
- Upload scanned copies of required documents, including:
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Income certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Previous academic mark sheets
Step 7: Submit Registration Form
- Review all the entered details carefully.
- Click on “Submit” to complete the registration process.
- After successful submission, you will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number and email.
How to Login to MahaDBT Portal to Access Available Scholarships?
Once registered, students can log in to apply for scholarships by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the MahaDBT Portal
- Open the MahaDBT Portal and click on “Applicant Login.”
Step 2: Enter Login Credentials
- Enter your username and password created during registration.
- Click on the “Login” button.
Step 3: Access Scholarships
- After successful login, go to the “Schemes” section.
- Click on “Check Eligibility” to view available scholarships based on your category and academic background.
- Select the appropriate scholarship scheme and click on “Apply.”
Step 4: Fill the Application Form
- Enter all required details such as education details, personal information, and financial background.
- Upload the necessary documents (Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Mark Sheets, etc.).
- Review the application and click on “Submit.”
Step 5: Track Scholarship Application Status
- After submission, students can track their application by entering their Application ID in the “Application Tracking” module.
- SMS and email alerts will be sent at various stages of processing.
